In 2006 George became a social enterprise consultant within the social enterprise sector. His first client was the Social Enterprise Loan Fund (TSELF), where he managed a £2m Social Enterprise Loan Fund on their behalf for London Objective2 Wards, helping social enterprises expand and develop.
In the 20 months between May 2007 and December 2008, George visited 131 social enterprises and produced applications with a value of over £5m. 14 of these applications were successful, which means that just under £2m went into strengthening the social enterprise sector in London in under two years.
George now works as a freelance social enterprise loan consultant. He maintains a portfolio of social lenders who are well-placed to consider funding the various project applications he submits.
